Such a bright day, it is. Kouyami dangled his legs from the high roof of the estate, his foot being wored down by his light roller-blades. For that single moment, everything seemed so peaceful for once - for once, he felt a bit normal to be around in the estate. He stiffened at the soft breeze blowing past his ears - that was right. He still had the bracelet that identified him as the Isonade. The Isonade was a bloody monster. Who in the world would sacrifice themself to help the shark? Kouyami sadly smiled, lifting his head up to the blue-painted sky.
For that single, once-in-a-life moment, it was shattered. Everything. Letting himself float away in the sky without any worries made him think he was just being foolish. Yet, wasn't there faith to look forward to? Yeah, faith and hope. Kouyami held himself warmly, suddenly afraid of what was beneath him - the ground. He felt himself tremble against the mild air temperature, the smell around him was beginning to smell like flesh and blood. A small whimper escaped his lips, a want to run away.
"I... I can't hold it; I'm... - I don't know... anymore." Kouyami whispered, his heart pounding to leap out its true, monstrous self. When he wanted to run away, he escaped by going to his closest friend - his shadow, his self, his darker part. Oh, how he wanted to change. How he wanted to be stronger. His fears - they overwhelmed him sometimes. They overwhelmed him so much he would start to cry every night secretly. The shark-boy snapped his head up, forcing it high. No, he couldn't lose. No... he couldn't.
Jumping down from the high ceiling and landing with a graceful motion, Kouyami slid carefully and serenly across the estate, closing his eyes. Running away without seeming like a coward, yeah, that was it -- roller-blading did it. He soon halted against a tree, under the shade, and cheerfully flashed a smile as he brought his palm over his head to escape the sun's light that flittered through the landscape. Kouyami slid his one eye over toward his blue and silver bracelet, holding a small gulp.
The young male shook his head, pulling his hand down as he skated to the entrance of the estate, stepping carefully over the wooden porch. Where had that warm welcome gone to? That warm welcome that he had once received from his dear parents whom were now gone. Nevermind that. Stepping back from the entrance, he hesitated whether to go in or not. The estate was such a dark place, everyone was often quite cruel... to him.
Lowering his head, he fiddled childishly with his fingers, his active eye darting back and forth in debate.

"What a cruel and heartless woman, trying to run my life like she does every other day. Hah, who does she think she is?" Kilala smiled maliciously. Air rushed past her as she rode the hoverboard home from yet another encounter with the woman who dared call herself her mother. The five-tail hated her, hated the woman who always tried to make her a lady. "She means nothing to me. Satsuki Shoji is nothing to me!"
The words were close to shouts as Lala carefully followed the pipeline. Then suddenly it ended and she jumped off the board and picked it up before it had fully hit the ground. Her cheeks were still flushed with anger, she wanted a fight. To hit and scream, but mostly she wanted it directed at the woman who birthed. She has no right to claim to be my mom. None at all. How can she say she is a member of my family when she doesn't care that my father is dying?
The houkou yanked the pink ribbon out of a hidden pocket and threw it to the ground, stomping the material into the dirt. A gift from Satsuki, one the youth had denied and still took, vowing to do what she was currently. The girl's father had cancer and not long to live. It was all she could do to follow his wish that she be courteous to her mother, it obviously wasn't working and the two lashed out at eachother more often. Lala's mother continued to hit and abuse her often, and Lala continued to wear the tight clothes that seemed to attract boys and agitate her conventional mother.

"Eh?" said a suddenly surprised, yanked out of thought, Kouyami; he thought it was peaceful, but he could have promised that he heard someone from amist. Maybe, it was just his other thoughts that were toying with him - yeah, maybe that was it, he was kind of cuckoo in the head, if you knew what people meant. Che, it's another monster. a blunt retort came from within. By that, Kouyami suddenly knew another Brynhilduar was near. Frightened, he jumped off the porch and skated to the side of the estate which contained a ladder to the roof, a few people would come to the roof, but it was dangerous since the roof was slippery at times.
Taking a cautious step on the roof, the fourteen year-old fell on his knees, hiding. It wasn't the best hiding spot, but he couldn't think of anything else that would suffice except for hiding behind a tree - a trick that was most commonly used. Kouyami was able to hear his darker half argue on and about on where to hide instead, yet he chose to stay still. Deciding to take a plunge, he peeked over the roof, noticing a girl with a hover-board. Was she the one who screamed?
Ah... Kouyami bit his lower lip and carefully jumped off the roof once again, this time, reassured that nothing would happen. He took one courageous step with a brightened smile, why be scared? He was never and rarely like this ,"Hello!" he happily greeted, a small wave being given to the older girl as he tilted his head curiously ,"You look a tad, I don't know, frustrated? YUP! Maybe, maybe.... maybe that's it?" Kouyami unsurely responded, pulling his index finger up to lips and placed his left arm behind his back, his bracelet hidden from sight.
Great, there he went, being the cheerful little pest he was. You could say his darker self wasn't really pleased to the sudden change.

Kilala looked at the boy in annoyance. Was he really talking to her? No teen ever talked to her when she was angry, heck barely anyone talked to her when she was calm. Most were too nervous to set the girl off. Or the Devil as they'd dubbed her behind her back. "Back off, kid. You don't want to pick a fight with me today," the houkou snorted. Her eyes burned with fire, and she held back her frustration.
Lala didn't take out her rage on just anyone. Only those she could have a decent cool down with. The only thing people at her school seemed to know about her was that aside from anger and distrust, she was an emotionless void. The youth gave a look of boredom, leaning on her board for support.
It wasn't that she wanted him to know her reputation. Rather she wanted someone to know it, and like her anyway. Maybe she could open up to this person who seemed eager to talk to her. She asked the question. She had to ask the question. It was important for her to know. "Do you know who I am?"

"A... A fight?" Kouyami tilted his head, incredibly confused at what she had just said. He knew the definition of "fight", and he wasn't planning to go there with the older girl. The boy was both bad in arguments and physical fighting, unlike his other half. Still, what was the harm into befriending others and having a conversation? It wasn't like they were going to become best friends immediately. Ha, as if... as if that was ever possible.
"Do you know who I am?" The younger Brynhilduar given a totally lost look at her question - was he suppose to know who she was? All he knew was: "I know! You are a relative of mine!" he dumbly, but anxiously replied, with a gracious smile upon his feminine features. Yet, he didn't say anything that will spill the curse easily, he didn't want to go near there as the boy continued to keep his left arm behind his back, hiding his bracelet ,"So, what's your name? My name is Kouyami!"

"I'm the person who everyone at school is afraid of. Who no one wants to talk to," the youth replied. "But if you're okay with that, call me Lala. That's what my dad calls me." She gazed at the boy in deep revery. He wasn't afraid of her at all, it was puzzling. More so because she thought everyone knew her bad reputation.
Strangely, Kilala didn't want to fight him. In fact, she felt calmer just being around Kouyami. The houkou let her board fall to the ground as she walked toward him confidently. It was as if the toy had been instantly forgotten in the moment. "Are you really going to accept the school devil? Speak now. If not I'll make sure to write you off as someone I can beat up."

that was the sentence that had strucked him into an on-going thought. If that was so, then Kouyami had it different. No one at school was afraid of him, much likely he was pretty well-liked among his classmates. His other side simply gained interest, but made enemies. However, most relatives from the Brynhilduar family disliked him since he was the bloody Isonade."Are you really going to accept the school devil? Speak now. If not I'll make sure to write you off as someone I can beat up."
Kouyami didn't think much at all, why not accept her? It hurted not being accepted, didn't it? "Of course I'll accept you, silly!" he bluntly exclaimed, fitting in small giggles. Most would think he had not heard the last part that the girl had said, but he definitely heard, alright. He shifted his ever-distracted mind to Lala's hover-board in amusement, his lips never budging in that curled form:"You hover-board? I have one! But... eh, well... I am bad at it." Kouyami temporarily glanced down at his dark blue roller-blades and lifted his one eye back to the Brynhilduar ,"I roller-blade." [/ul]

"You- you will?" Kilala faultered. No one had ever accepted her, ever. Not even her own mother accepted her for the person she is. "I love rollerblading too. Well I love all sports, but that doesn't mean I'm obsessed or anything." Sports seemed the only place she was liked by anyone, and there it was all business.
Is this kid messing with me? Does he know something I don't? Is this all just a big joke on me? Nah, no one would dare do that to the school devil. He's serious. Her serious expression, permanently emblazened on her face softened for a moment. She didn't smile, but she let her face look at him calmly. The 'angel' in her rising to the surface.

Well, by the way she had sounded, she sure seemed surprised. Kouyami nodded happily in response, and paused as he brought his blue and silver bracelet up in the air, letting it beam a murderous aura ,"B-But first... you don't really mind, right? If... If.. I'm the..." The bracelet had said it all - he was the monstrous Isonade, and whoever became close to him will be sent to a cage ,"That is, will you accept me, too? I don't want to bring you down with me because... you seem really nice, and it's hard for me to stray away from nice people." Yes, he was the Isonade. But for a tough shark, Kouyami presented himself as really weak and sensitive for such a story of a blood-thirsty Isonade. Really, it was hard to believe and this was the first when he showed his bracelet to a Brynhilduar in warning; usually, he would become friends with someone and try not to get too close. However, Lala was different, and he simply pondered on the "if's" and "what if's" that came along his head ,"You won't hate me? A lot of people don't like me... A lot of people from our family don't like me." [/ul]

"I won't hate you unless you turn on me," Kilala replied. "As long as you stay on my side, I'll stay on your's. You're a person too, it'll be fun. No one holds this Brynhilduar down." She flipped the board up and put it behind her head. Draping her arms around it. The dog examined her cousin carefully, he seemed pretty cool, but she couldn't be sure about him.
Life is what we make it, right? Why should anyone live in fear or even anticipation of tomorrow? Instead of living for the day they're in. There was no way to word what she was thinking. "So what's your story?" She looked down at him inquisitively.

"Thank you," it was a genuine thanks, it was not only for her words, but for the encouragement that she had given him that no one else had. Overall, the feeling was uplifting and new to him.
"So what's your story?"
My story...the young boy couldn't fix on what he really wanted to say, unending sentences told him this and that. Whenever he looked back in the past, it was always the same thing again - he was a monster. A blood-thirsty monster. "Well, y' see," he began ,"I'm the... I-... Isonade, and it's a really scary position to be in because... you can't risk to make any close friends or else they might... end up in a cage along with you." Kouyami informed, slowly pausing in the middle of the sentence, a sadden look disdaining his child-like face.
"I killed somemone, Lala." the fourteen year-old suddenly cried, wiping his tears that suddenly welled up on the edge of his eyes. He was sensitive on the Isonade topic, and he didn't mind talking about it since he was too delighted about the fact that the older girl decided to accept him in the beginning ,"... it was a long time ago, b-but... but I try really hard not to hurt anyone again."

Kilala was still for a minute, then she regained herself and turned away. The teen began walking toward the garden, unsure if Kouyami was following. "C'mon," the houkou gestured. "We'll sit and you can get it all out. Please don't cry." She swallowed hard, not knowing what to say that could help him. Lala herself wasn't afraid of death, but she didn't want people around her to die.
He deserves a second chance, no matter what happened in hispast, it's not his fault I'm sure. This kid is far too sweet. He warned me about being his friend. Not that I'd be afraid anyway. No one puts the houkou in a cage. "I trust you," the words Kilala had always wanted to hear, were now coming from her own mouth. "It'll be okay."
