Name:
Evangeline Mia Brynhilduar.
Nicknames- Eva-chan, Angel, Mia-chan or Elle-chan [not sure where the last one came from…]
Gender:
Female.
Age:
12 // 13th August 1994
Curse:
K y u u b i.
Description:
Evangeline is a very cute twelve-year-old. She has somewhat fluffy pink hair that falls just about her shoulders. During class, she pulls them into two loose ponytails that frame either side of her face, but throws it up into a messy bun or ponytail whenever she begins to cook. The reason behind the colour is an interesting one; her original colour is flaming red, but one day… she simply died it with a small smile and quaint, “Doesn’t it look better?” Green, almond-shaped eyes seem to always be cheerful (so long as no one makes her cry, of course).
Her skin is light, but not in a sickly sort of way. As she spent a lot of time outside when she was young, Eva would have been tanner if not for the sun block that her mother insisted she wear whenever she went outside. Even though her mother is now gone, it became a habit for her to lather herself every time she stepped out the door.
When it comes to height, Eva figures she's around average for a twelve year old. She stands at around five feet and two inches, weighing in at an average size one hundred and twenty-five pounds. She has a decent amount of curves, but isn't exactly what you would call voluptuous. Evangeline doesn't mind not being the skinniest girl at School. After all, she's always believed that you should never, ever, trust a thin cook.
While she cares about the way she looks, the young girl couldn't really be considered vain. Sure, she puts on make-up and does her hair all-cutesy most of the time, but she doesn't stare into her reflection in the mirror for hours upon hours. Evangeline also isn't about to go on some insane starvation diet just to drop a few pounds. In her opinion, it's a waste of time. She's just going to put it back on anyways.
Her clothes don't really stand out very much, especially during school. She wears the standard uniform, normally in a very neat and orderly manner/ Around her neck, Eva always wears a Celtic knot on a silver chain, a memento that she took from her mother's jewellery box right after she died. On the weekends, Evangeline likes to wear bright colours, either pastel or neon. She has quite a few skirts and sandals in her wardrobe, but most of her shirts are coloured cotton t-shirts.

Personality:
If you simply had to pick one word to describe Evangeline “Eva” Brynhilduar, her close family would either choose cheerful or vulnerable. Strangers would probably tell you she was obnoxious, and acquaintances would deem her shy and reserved. Of course, another's perception of someone can only go so far. It's far better to know what a person is really like in unbiased, unaltered, pure facts.
In truth, Eva really is a very joyful girl. Whenever one of her family is upset, she's the first one at the scene, fully equipped with homemade brownies and a plate overflowing with chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. Her cheerfulness, while annoying to most cold-hearted people, tends to rub off on everyone else. For some reason it's impossible to gaze upon her heart-warming smile without one spreading across your face as well. Her laughter is melodious, and seems to hold the very essence of the sunshine that Evangeline covets so much. Roll your eyes all you want to, but that's just the way she is.
And so, of course, when she cries the whole world comes tumbling down. For whenever your laughter is infectious, your tears are as well. Eva never cries unless someone begins taunting her, telling her she's no good (in other words, whenever she comes across a particularly mean stranger). On the rare occasion that she's in a gloomy mood due to someone teasing her, or something reminding her of her mother’s death, everyone around her seems to reflect these feelings. If only Evangeline wasn't bothered by childish insults, the Kyuubi could spend her days being a bright, cheerful young teenage girl.
Unfortunately, Evangeline takes pretty much everything to heart. Peer pressure is probably the one element that affects her the most at School. If someone tells her that her hair looks ugly, she'd most likely cry in the bathroom and then fix it in a completely different style the next day. If another student dared her to punch herself with the promise that they would bring her back around instead of leaving her on the cold floor, she would probably do so, even though Eva has enough common sense to know that they're lying. She simply wants to be liked by others, to make other people happy by being their friends.
It takes quite a bit for her to not like someone. If Eva gets a bad first impression from someone, she normally figures they had a bad day or were too distracted to pay much attention to her. She even forgives the people who tease her relentlessly, deciding that it was the way they were brought up to act. Even though she had lost both her parents, Evangeline told herself that the others might have it worse than she did, when it truth, they did not. There are only two things that will cause Eva to despise you, and that's being cruel to animals and people who completely and utterly betray her. Even the second one is a little iffy, as she often feels that the betrayal is somehow her fault.
So why isn't a caring, sweet young girl like her running around trying to free the captive animals and fighting for better treatment of the school pets? The fact is, Evangeline really is too shy to do anything about it. Her bubbly personality comes out around the people she trusts, because her quietness is a form of fear that eventually fades as she gets to know someone. So, while Eva almost always wears a smile on her face, it's very rare that she'll offer to help someone that she isn't a at least casual friend with. People she doesn’t know because they aren’t familiar to her frighten her, and familiarity is comfort.
Perhaps the one quality that doesn't fit in with the rest is her curiosity. Just like a fox, the twelve year old is too intrigued by everything around her for her own good. If something catches her attention, it's quite possible that Evangeline will forget all of her fears and reservations she chase after it until she has at last discovered what it is. At that point, her interest fades away and Eva returns to whatever she had been doing before her curiosity kicked in.
At one point in her life, Eva was passionate about sports. She would ride her mother’s bicycle for hours, not passing a slow leisurely speed just as her mother had warned her. One day, when she was around five years old, Pandora spotted a bright butterfly flitting around in the sunlight, and she simply had to give chase. She rode faster and faster until she was around a great speed, at which point she realised and panicked, sending the bike skidding and herself down to the ground. Eva managed to escape with a few scrapes and bruises, but from that day on she was too scared of great speeds to even consider riding again.
Her current passion started a few months later, after the death of her mother. The Kyuubi moved in with the Main House. Moved by their compassion for the large family, Evangeline wanted to find a way to help, and found it in the kitchen. At first she simply helped the maids prepare the meals, but soon enough Eva was making them all on her own. Since then, she using cooking as an outlet whenever she begins to feel depressed over her mother's death, or something else happening at school. In Evangeline's opinion, the smell of spices is the most soothing thing in the world.
And with that, most of Evangeline Mia Brynhilduar 's many-faceted personality has been examined and explained. Whatever people may think or say about her, whatever prejudices they have, whatever lies they might spread, these words speak the truth. Eva really is just a sweet girl, trying to find the courage to let the world know just how much she cares. It won't be any easy task, the finding of courage, but with the right circumstances, some good friends, and a little bit of luck anything is possible.
History:
Evangeline Mia Brynhilduar was born to Mina Brynhilduar on Friday 13th August 1994. Her father, who her mother never told her about, walked out months before the child was even born. He simply wasn’t one for commitment, and when his girlfriend declared that she was pregnant; he left the same night. Mina didn’t blame the child; if he couldn’t love something that was the product of their love, who needed him? So, six months later the woman gave birth to a premature, though healthy baby girl.
Well, seemingly healthy.
As soon as the young baby made contact with the first air, there was a wisp of smoke… and a child fox with nine swaying tails appeared in her arms. The ‘Kyuubi no Yoko’. Mina could do little more than stare in shock for a long time. She knew all about the curse, though she had never personally come in contact with it before herself. There was silence as the doctors fiddled with a box and the woman simply stared at her ‘child’. Then, she realised something. No one else would love it. If she didn’t, no one else would want a cursed child and she would eventually be left to grow up alone. And as odd as she seemed, Mina didn’t want that for her child. So, as the doctors handed her an i.d bracelet, the woman slipped it over a small paw and lovingly held the child to her chest.
She decided to name her daughter Evangeline, due to her love of English names and gave her a middle name of Mia after her own American mother, who was deceased at that point in time. She took the baby home, a small house outside the main estate, and began her life as a single mother. She worked two part-time jobs, sometimes having to arrange a fellow mother to ferry the small Eva to and fro school, though that was only in emergencies. Otherwise, Mina was usually there for her child and was able to teach her right from wrong. One thing that she made sure was drilled into her daughter’s mind was to never remove her I’d bracelet. Never. So, it became something unconscious.
When the child was around six years old, a letter arrived from the main house. The head requested a visit from Evangeline, as she had never done so prior to this time. She’d always heard Kyuubi had been close to God, but she wasn’t sure if she wanted that for Eva. Then again, how could she tell them ‘no’? No one in the Brynhilduar family could say ‘no’ to the Head, regardless of age. So, two days afterwards, the young Kyuubi and her mother arrived at the main house, the younger taken away to see the Head. The visit was rather civil, and they did little more but talk. However, Evangeline had the oddest… ache in her chest that she couldn’t describe. Unease? Or… fear? Being so young, she couldn’t be sure.
Life went on in such a similar fashion, with regular visits to the main estate. That is, until Evangeline turned nine. Mina returned home after work one day to see the front door beaten open. Instead of calling the police, as most might, the woman took matters into her own hands. Yet, as soon as the sig saucer was pointing in between her eyes, she realised what her mistake would cause, not just for herself, but Eva too. Sadly, the small child returned home to a devastating scene less than ten minutes later.
Blood, so much blood!
Screaming was what alerted the neighbours to call the emergency services, who arrived to find the flame haired girl in hysterics next to her mother’s corpse. It took sedatives to make her calm down.
It was arranged that the child live in the main house, close to many people incase she attempted anything, Eva was more quiet than usual for those first few weeks, barely leaving her room. Running her fingers through her hair one day, she took a good look at it. Crimson… such vivid red… so much like… the next day, Eva came home with a hair dying kit and emerged with bubble gum pink hair. No one dared say anything about it; it was better than many alternatives.
So, the years moved on and Evangeline slowly settled back down. However, no matter how accustomed she’s become to ‘home’… there is still there irresistible ache she can’t place. A deep desire for one thing…
Freedom.

The Brynhilduar kitchen window overlooked a small vegetable garden, beyond which a forest of pine trees dominated the skyline. Sunshine streamed in through the glass, illuminating the peaceful, homey scene within. A large table was set in the adjoining dining room; half of the food already prepared and set out. A black cat curled lazily in a patch of sunlight on the kitchen floor, it's eyes half closed. A young girl no more than twelve stood at the stove frying bacon.
It wouldn't be peaceful for long. Soon, the Brynhilduar staff would be waking up from their slumber. The kitchen would be filled with the sounds of laughter and light teasing as they trickled into the dining room for breakfast. Eva didn't normally wake up this early and make a spread this big, but today they would need to keep up their strength for the vigorous spring cleaning job they would be doing.
Evangeline had been saving up for her school and cooking supplies all summer, just as she had over the past two years. Cooking made her feel as if she wasn't as much of a burden to the Brynhilduar, but she couldn't bring herself to spend their hard-earned money, especially for her. It made her feel downright awful, after everything that the staff and even the Head had done for her already.
Realizing that the bacon was close to burning, Eva deftly sidestepped the cat to take another plate down from the cabinet. Blaire had become somewhat of an eternal fixation in the kitchen over the years, primarily because it was where Evangeline spent most of her time. He seemed to always be in the way of where she was headed, and therefore, the twelve year old had learned to be careful not to trip over him. That very incident had resulted in many a smashed plate.
As Evangeline set down the last plate on the table, she heard an alarm shrieking somewhere in the house. A faint smile came to her lips. Soon enough, everyone would be waking up to their own alarm, or yelling at someone else to switch their's off. Her moment of peace and quiet was ruined, but Evangeline didn't mind. The bickering made her feel at home, like the various maids and staff were a real family. It made her feel like family.
